Hi,
The UCD9090-Q1 active trimming function can work with non-TI regulators.

In the information I have found regarding the Trim circuit configuration, including the UCD90xxx Voltage Margining Circuit Design Tool, the diagram shows an R1 resistor which is also part of the Margining Circuit Design Tool input. The supplies I am using do not have this resistor as part of the VFB. Can R1 be ignored in the Margining Circuit Design Tool input?
Hi,
The value of resistor R1 is part of the circuit which sets the nominal, minimum and maximum vout voltages for margining. As such it is necessary.
Also to clarify my previous response, there is nothing in the UCD9090-Q1 that prevents it from working with a non-TI regulator. If that regulator calls for a different setup than the UCD9090-Q1, however, I cannot say whether it will work or not as it depends on whether that regulator can work with the UCD9090-Q1 setup.
