Tool/software:
Dear TI Team,
When we used BQ27426 for battery power measurement, we found that the voltage read was only a few mv different from the one measured by our multimeter, but the measured battery capacity was quite different, reaching 70-80mAh.For example, we measured the capacity of the battery with an instrument to be 547mAh, but the total capacity read by BQ27426 is only 486mAh.
We measured the power consumption of the battery, the standby current is about 10mA, when we connect a electronic load meter to the battery and adjust the load to 100mA, the current read by BQ27426 is only about 30mA. When adjust the load to 200mA, the read value is about 60mA, so the current reading is very inaccurate. We speculate that the inaccurate reading of the current value directly caused the capacity incorrectly, when the electronic load meter is almost discharge the battery, the inaccurate current reading, which resulting in a lower capacity value.
The schematic is as below:
Do you have any good suggestions regarding this issue?
Thanks,
Kind Regards
