Hi,
If I use a non IEEE compliant PSE , can I use only the UVLO function to turn on the PD at 22V without mounting RDet and Rclass?
Then when I use a IEEE compliant PSE, Rdet and Rclass need to be mounted.
Thank you.

Hi Said,
Thanks for reaching out!
The adjustable UVLO is for the internal hotswap's UVLO. For non compliant PSE or passive PoE injector without detection/classification, RDet and Rclass are not needed and the PD can be turned on when UVLO is reached (meanwhile VDD-VSS is higher than the internal circuit startup voltage, which is ~13V).
And yes, for standard PSE, you need correct RDet and Rclass to pass detection and classification. Or the standard PSE won't turn on its port.
