LM25116: Not getting desired current from IC

Part Number: LM25116
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5116

Tool/software:

Greetings, previously I've been trying to make a buck converter using LM25116 in this post , using this configuration based on LM5116_Quickstart datasheet:

With this parameters:

I wanna know if my parameters are ok, because I built a PCB based on the materials, and when applying voltage from a generator, the max Amps I am achieving is 1.2A, however when using a commercial product with the same IC i get up to 8A.

PS. I am applying voltage from a pedal generator rectified to DC to the circuit and I am applying the voltage to a battery charger. Does inductive charge has something to do?
