LM5146DESIGN-CALC: Vin = Vout at brown-out (power on the high side fet)

Part Number: LM5146DESIGN-CALC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5146, LM25148

Tool/software:

Hello,

i need a normal buck regulator (for example a LM5146) from Vin = 13V-17V to Vout = 12V. (4S Li-accu to 12V)

The special reqiurement is, that i need "Vin (minus V-induct and V-fet) = Vout" at the end of the regulatiuon (brownout).

I just want the high side fet to turn on and power the Vout with the maximun possible voltage, to use the rest capacity of the akku until the external BMS turn off the supply.

Is it possible to just set the high-side-fet to 0V when the LM5146 turn off both fet`s by brown-out ?

i hope the question is understanable... :-)

Kind regards,

Philipp
