TL494: Current Limiter Circuit

Hi Teams,

I was planning to design a charging current limiter circuit for a 48V,100Ah battery management system (BMS). I want the BMS to limit the charging current to 10A when the state of charge reaches 90%. Kian Lin informed me that the TL494 can be used as 48V 10A low-side FET current limit circuit. My question is, Can TL494 therefore be utilized for this purpose? If you could provide a reference design or something that resembles my design request, that would be greatly appreciated.

Any GP PWM can be used for this application. If you want to use the PWM in CC only, then you operate the controller in constant current limit. If you want iot to operate in CC/CV then you you can check some LED driver references that basically sense the output current and voltage and use two external amplifiers with outputs diode OR'd together and the result is a single FB signal that is responding to either CC or CV.
