TPS562208: Can you provide lifetime data?

Part Number: TPS562208

Tool/software:

Hello,

We use one of your step-down converter in one of our product.
Now we want to push the service life of our product from 10 to 20 years.
To evaluate this possibility we need information about the attainable life time of your product.

Can you provide any information about this, besides the publicly available FIT and MTBF values?

With best Regards,

Manuel Heine

  • Hi Manuel,

You can read Texas Instruments General Quality Guidelines (Rev. P) https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/szzq076p/szzq076p.pdf

TI’s semiconductor technologies are developed with a minimum goal of fewer than 50 Failures in Time (FIT) at 100,000 Power-On-Hours at 105⁰C junction temperature.

The lifetime of your product should be evaluated by yourself according to device quality data, TI won't guarantee 100% no failure at any lifetime.

    Thanks.

    Shipeng
