Hello Zoey,

BQ21080 does not support NiMH batteries, as it has a minimum battery charge voltage of 3.6V. However, I recommend visiting the TI parametric part search page and filtering by cell chemistry to find chargers that support NiMH batteries.

If the customer is looking for a linear charger that can support NiMH batteries, then I would recommend BQ25172.
