LM5180-Q1: PSPICE-FOR-TI issues

Tool/software:

When I try to run a PSPICE simulation for this part, I keep getting an error that there are less than 2 connections at the TC node. I have connected a resistor between the TC and RSET nodes, and in the .CIR file I see two connections for this node. This same issue has been reported previously by another user, but I couldn't see how it was resolved. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for designing with our products. Please note that TC function is not modeled. Simply leave TC pin floating will avoid such error.

I did that and it worked for a few runs, but now I'm getting a netlist error saying: "Unconnected pin, no FLOAT property or FLOAT = e U1 pin 'TC'"

Hi Eric,

I could not tell why, but this should be easily worked around by putting two paralleled dummy resistors (suggest 100Meg or 1G for each) across TC and GND, and this will resolve not only the floating pin issue but also the "less than 2 connections" issue.
