Is it possible to configure GPIO1 of the TPS25750 as 'UFP_DFP_Event' and use it as the USB-ID signal, where DFP = 'High' operates in Host mode (P/D) and UFP = 'Low' operates in Device mode (OPEN)?

In general, if a device operates in DFP mode, does it always function as Host mode?

Conversely, if a device operates in UFP mode, does it always function as Device mode?

I would like to know if the TPS25750 has the capability to determine Host/Device roles based on the USB-ID signal.

If you are creating a new design, we strongly recommend switching over to the TPS25751, the successor part to the TPS225750.

Regarding your question:

Section 2.16 in the TPS25750 TRM contains a table of supported GPIO events. The TPS25750 GPIOs can be configured to any of these events by configuring the i/o config register in the App Config GUI. Yes, UFP_DFP is supported.

Yes, these comments are correct. You can also read status registers over I2C which report similar information.
