Tool/software:
Hello ,
We are using switch --> TPS22968QDMGRQ1 in our design to switch 3.3V to peripherals on the board (RAM, FLASH etc) .
That means our peripherals will be enabled only when microcontroller is flashed (PS1_EN = HIGH). But during production we want to program the FLASH memory for that we have to supply the 3.3V power to it. We provided test points at the TPS outputs. Question is can we apply 3.3V to the outputs of TPS directly in production ? whether it will impact the TPS device ? or any chances of reverse voltage flow (But datasheet i dint see body diode) . Kindly let me know your feedback at the earliest
Regards,
Shyamasundar.
Hi Shyamasundar,
TPS22968 do not have reverse current blocking so reverse current can flow.
These body diodes are not designed for high continuous current so it is recommended to evaluate the current and power dissipation on the body diode to prevent any permanent damage.

Hello Arush,
What is the maximum rating of this body diode ?
Regards,
Shyamasundar.
Hi Shyamasundar,
We do not have rating for the body diode. Based on the current flowing through the diode, we can ask the designers. Generally speaking few mA do not cause any issue.
