Tool/software:

Hi TI Team,

we are currently looking for a Battery charger IC with MPPT and Solar Support. Idealy with dual input selector for USB-C and Solar.

I attached a screenshot of the typical application diagram with two inputs. In which cases are the input fets not necessary? 

Or what is the purpose of them?

    Hi Soner,

    They are not necessary if only one input source will be provided. Their purpose is selecting between two input sources for the converter, in this case USB-C and solar. Selection of input source can be made via I2C with EN_ACDRV1 and EN_ACDRV2.
