Hi,

I had one query-

these are my design conditions -

Vin: 20-95V

Vout:13V

Iout:30A

Isolated design needed

I was planning to use LM5036(half bridge) as there is a design calculator available from TI.

I also see that there are other TI half bridge ICs available - LM5035, UCC28250 .

Any recommended TI IC which I should go with - LM5035 or LM5036 or UCC28250?

I have not found a design calculator for LM5036 but there are excellent details shown in the data sheet. I can suggest TI Power Stage Designer as a way to design and check the power stage and combined with the details given in the data sheet, you should be able to come up with a design. You can also search the TI Reference Design data base here. Search TI PWM controllers here and select half-bridge:

LM5036 calculator i found from TI, can i use this ?

Also, my other main ques, Steve is this - can I use LM5036 for the following design condition - as I have to recommend it to my customer soon. He is pretty much okay with any TI controller as long it meets his design requirements.

I am not using the tool you are referring to so I can't speak to it's usability or accuracy but the controller is one option for the specs you are targeting. 390W is quite high, 30A on the output. I'm thinking you might also consider a full bridge with current doubler secondary?
