LM7800: LDO pin-to-pin replacement recommendation.

Hi there,

This is Racheal Shen, FAE from AA3 team in Shenzhen, China. My customer UUGreenPower needs a LDO device, capable to pin-to-pin replace L4940D2T5-TR (5V fixed output, D2PAK package). The customer’s application voltage dropout is 1V, output current 1.5A. However, The cross-reference search results indicate several LDOs (LM7805 LM7812 LM7815), even the minimum dropout is 1.5V. Could you please provide a device recommendation? Thank you.

 

Here is the application scenario.

Input: 6V

Output: 5V, 1.5A
