We have received an inquiry from our customer regarding the RoHS exemption for LM337T/NOPB.
Currently, the LM337T/NOPB falls under the EU exemption code 7(a).
We kindly request your confirmation and response on the following four points:
1. Are there any known technical issues at this time regarding the release of alternative products?
2. If the exemption is assumed to end in July 2026, what is the expected timeline for the provision of sample and mass production products?
*Please note that the customer assumes the deadline to be July 2026.
3. Are there any lead-free or alternative solder technologies available as substitutes for the high melting point type solder under exemption 7(a)?
(Will the LM337T/NOPB be addressed by either of these methods, or by another approach?)
4. Regarding products currently under exemption, including LM337T/NOPB, does your company plan to release alternative products in the future?
