Hi there. Please see the schematic below. We have this very odd behaviour and I hope someone can explain why.
The opservations:
- i2c is just not working. We have excluded bus conflicts and poor i2c signals as causes. We can read from other chips on the bus.
- When we isolate the chip in a partially populated setup i2c starts working when we drop the supply voltage to 2.5V (from 3.3V).
Some of our own review notes:
- The setup around SRP/SRN is unusual. In all application notes the (ground) reference for this circuit is connected to SRP. In ours it is connected to SRN.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated. We are in a crunch.
