HD3SS3220: Mux or Re-driver

11dB is a pretty decent loss, I would recommend implementing a USB3 redriver. In this case, I would recommend the TUSB522P, which is one of our newer redrivers in the USB3 line.

For 5Gbps, a budget of -6.5dB between the SOC and connector and a budget of -7dB in the cable is given per the spec. Based off of that, I think a redriver would be a good fit for this application.

what if I am not going to use cable, and only flash drive connected at USB-C, will it work with MUX? or even in that case, re-driver is required?

The provided -11dB loss is from SOC to type-c connector after the MUX, right? If that's where you'd plug in the flash drive, I would still recommend implementing a redriver, as a -11dB loss is still a pretty hefty loss.
