TPS1653: TPS16530 Data Sheet verses Excel Calculator

I asked a previous question about the equations and calculations in the TPS16530 data sheet and was provided the TPS16530_Design_Calculator_revA.xlsx.

This is a nice tool but the calculations in the spreadsheet are different from those provided in the data sheet. I'm assuming the Excel spreadsheet calculations are correct?

For example, using the design example in para. 9.2.1 and entering the parameters in the Excel spreadsheet gives results that are calculated differently than presented in the data sheet.

Some clarity would be helpful.

I'm also looking at the TPS25940xx-Q1 and the data sheet states that "the WEBENCH® software may be used to generate a complete design". Does WEBENCH support some the the efuse parts?

Can you please point out which equation is coming out different.

By 9.2.1 para do you mean the example design parameters value.

Hi Amrit,

I now understanding the TPS16530 spreadsheet and get the same values when doing the calculations myself.

Following the design example using the parameters in Table 9-1, equation (1) on page 13, V(in) should be changed to V(in)max and that was not obvious until I saw the max value being used in the Excel spreadsheet. I was using 24V (not 50V) when doing the calculations.
