This device has two operation modes: CCM and DCM. What are the conditions to transition from CCM to DCM?

    Hi Masaki,

    LM3409 will enter DCM when the inductor current goes to 0A. The transition from CCM to DCM occurs when the load current is less than 1/2 the peak-to-peak inductor ripple current. As the LED/inductor current decreases, the converter will eventually enter DCM.
