BQ25895: STAT pin blinking at excessive frequency

Hi folks,

Thanks in advance for looking at this.

Really very simply: when RT1 (bottom right) is NOT FITTED and with NO BATTERY ATTACHED, the LED (LED6) on the CHG_STAT pin blinks as expected (1 Hz or so). As soon as I fit RT1, again with NOT BATTERY ATTACHED, the LED begins to blink at something that looks to be about 15 Hz.

Everything seems to operate normally otherwise, but I'm curious about this unexpected behaviour.
