I have a few doubts and concerns regarding the BQ24616 IC. We are developing a 6S charger using this IC and encountered some issues during testing.
During testing, we applied a 25.7V input without connecting load batteries to the output. Upon powering the board, the PG and STAT2 LEDs illuminated, but the STAT1 LED remained off.
We measured the output voltage at 0.75V, while the Vref voltage was confirmed to be 3.3V. After a short period of operation, the board experienced a short circuit between the ground and the output.
Could anyone suggest a solution or guide me on what to check next?
