my key customer made their own power module based on TPS53319 and used it in their server main board.
There are 6 pcs TPS53319 module are employed in the main board. The customer tested 4 PCBAs and find the PCBAs will all shutdown when environment temp rise up to 43~50 degree C, and the issue all caused by the TPS53319 module which located at the same location where has the worst thermal dissipation condition (the VIN=12V, VOUT=5V, average Iout is about 0.8A), all the other modules may work well. The issue seems caused by thermal protection according to the phenomena (may recover when environment temp drop), I have asked them to conduct quite a few test as shown in the attached summary, we precluded the issue from OVP,UVP,OCP, UVLO, feedback signal (the TPS53319 devices are shipped out from TI in the 50th week of 2023)… but still could not find the root cause, would you please help to have a look and share advices?
