LM5163: Buck converter with ripple waveforms at feedback pin

Part Number: LM5163

Tool/software:

Hello Team,

I am using LM5163 in applicaion where we are having 12V input and 10V output with 0.4A Load. I have used Type 3 ripple circuit for this.

Below is the output ripple waveforms with  CH2 is buck output (Red) and CH4 (green) is ripple at feedback

Without load :

With Load :

Is ripple waveform at feedback pin is ok with load condition? I have build this circuit  on zero PCB board(without PCB layout).

Thank you.

BR,

  • Hello Vaibhav,

If you have a breadboard that you built this circuit on, this is likely your issue.  the waveform with load looks unstable.  need to lay this circuit out on a PCB, with strict adherence to the layout guidelines,  Additionally, please use the calculator spreadsheet to unsure satisfactory component selection to ensure stability.

    Hope this helps,

    David.
