Hello, we have designed a 10 battery charger based on 10 parallel bq24616s on the same PCB.
We have a problem, after startup, each bq24616 detects that there is no battery, the LED on "stat 1" remains off (expected result)
when we insert a battery, the LED on stat1 of the associated bq24616 lights up, but when we remove the battery this LED never turns off, the only solution to reset this LED is to unplug and reconnect the charger. we have the same phenomenon on 10 bq24616 of the pcb.
- the end of charge detection current is deliberately set at a low value in order to let the bms (bq40z50) detect the end of charge itself so that the "FC" register is correctly set
- we have also voluntarily deactivated the safety timer
- the batteries seem to charge correctly anyway
