We have run into wrong "Battery Full Capacity" reports from the fuel gauge BQ34Z100-G1. It is a ~106.4Ahr LFP battery, with 16S1P config.

The Golden Image capacity of this battery came out to be '105.6AHr'

But in production-line, 1 out of 10 batteries report wrong Battery Full capacity upon flashing the golden Image. The values are all over the place. For Example, they report 109.0AHr or 111.0AHr or sometimes 133AHr or 145AHr. What does this mean ?

We ran a few cycles on one of these batteries . Attaching gg file, log files and their SREC file for your reference.

Thank you. I am also gathering more information to help diagnose this issue.
The Battery Full Capacity remains wrong, right after loading the new Golden Image. Does this mean the Fuel Gauge is corrupt ?
Is there any way to recover/rescue this corrupt Fuel Gauge

Hello Shilpa,

The only true way to recover the fuel gauge would be to program the golden srec file back onto it. However, I am still looking into the root cause of the problem

Hi Adrian,
Thank you.
We have been using the same technique to recover these gauges , by re-imaging the gauge.
Unfortunately this happens over one out of 10 batteries in production mysteriously.
We appreciate any type of insights you offer on it's root-cause.

Hello Shilpa,

Yes, I believe you sent data from a defective unit. Can you run the testing on a good unit and send that data as well. As well as send the gg file from a good unit.
