Tool/software:

We need +/- 2.5V at a low current of around 20-30mA.

Will this IC support +2.5V? I noticed that the minimum Vpos is 3.2V.

Also, the efficiency appears quite low at this level. Could you suggest any alternatives or ICs that could provide +/- 2.5V with higher efficiency at such low voltages?

Hello Dhinu,

As you mentioned correctly VPos needs to be 0.5V higher then Vin. As Vin_min is 2.7V as a consequence Vpos is minimum 3.2V.

For this application I'd suggest to have a look at our LM27762DSSR, which could be a nice alternative. To raise efficiency it makes sense to use minimal Vdo (Vo-Vin), if PSRR and load transient response is important you need to raise Vin.

Hi Dhinu,

Yes, you can directly use TPS65131 to generate -2.5V, but the +2.5V just as Frank mentioned, the LDO is needed as well.
