We have fixed gauge configuration and now we have no more remaining capacity to 0 cf. question "BQ34Z100-G1: RemainingCapacity dropping down to 0".

We have made some tests (reboot power supper board after firmware update, unplugged/plugged battery, etc.) and we have noticed some issues concerning remaining capacity set to full capacity value (38000 in our case) but we have a discharged battery and the charge current is 2000mA, how is it possible to get this remaining capacity ?

Hello Jean,

The gauge will not report accurate data after power on resets, it is recommend to discharge to empty then charge to full after a power on reset.

Many thanks for your feedback, we would like to disable tracking by default in configuration, where is store this configuration in flash or how can we disable tracking for a bq34z100-G1 gauge?

What do you mean disable tracking? Do you mean disable impedance track algorithm?

Hi,

If you want to disable IT, you will need to upload a fresh .srec with default parameters.

IT with be disabled by default.

Hello Jean,

Just send the "IT_ENABLE" command in BQStudio. If impedance track is enabled, then sending that command will disable it.

Many thanks, we will make some test to disable/enable impedance tracking by using IT_ENABLE command from our application to toggle the state if i understood your solution ?

Hi Jean,

For some gauges you can disable and enable IT with the IT_EN command. BQ34z100 is not one of those gauges. Once you enable IT it will remain enabled. Please pull your .gg file from the gauge, open the .gg file as a .txt file, change update status to 0. Then upload a fresh .srec to the device and import the .gg file. It should be noted if you would like to enable IT at some point a learning cycle is required.
