TPS922055: TPS922055 Over output current

Part Number: TPS922055

Tool/software:

Hello,

I'm using TPS922055 in the design to drive the LEDs, Setting the maximum LED current to 2.4A by using a 0.082 ohm sense resistor.

But when I powered the board and measured the output current, I got > 4A output current of the LED driver.

Could you please help me review my circuit if you see anything wrong and why the maximum LED current is over 2.4A?

Here's the setup:

  • Input Voltage (Vin): 48V
  • Voltage drop across LEDs: 41.8V
  • LED current: 2.4A
  • Dimming mode: PWM dimming
    • EN/PWM Pin: PWM signal (100% duty).
    • ADIM/HD Pin: High

I have tested the TPS922055 Evaluation board with a 0.0082ohm sense resistor( 2.4A LED current), the same load, and can get the expected result -> 2.4A

Thank you,

Pawee
