Hi,

I am using TI Webench for DC-DC Converter designs. It looks like all the designs generated have an inductor in it. I am wondering if it is necessary to include the inductor in the design, or is there a setting that I can change to exclude the inductor?

    Hi Caroline,

    DC-DC converters can be separated into capacitive-based (switched-cap design) or inductive-based. For a large majority of our devices (non switch-cap), the inductor is necessary and a very critical part of the design.
