BQ25618: Fast charge transition VBAT threshold voltage

Hello,

Our customer has a question about fast charge transition VBAT threshold voltage.

As he could see VBATLOWV spec in below, his understanding is that BQ25618 starts from Pre-charge when battery charging start at 3.1V VBAT.

Is his understanding correct ?

I personally think that battery charging starts from Fast charge, because VBAT is falling from full charge in this case.

VBATLOWV denotes the transition from pre-charge to fast charge.

His question is BQ25168 charging state when the charging starts from VBAT=3.1V down from fully charged state. Does it start from pre-charge or fast charge ?

Hello,

If the battery voltage falls bellow the falling VBATLOWV, the charge current will transition to precharge. If the battery voltage rises above the rising VBATLOWV, the charge current will transition to fast charge.
