LM2611: I need differential 5.6V and 3.3V LDO designs.

Part Number: LM2611

Tool/software:

Dear Expert
I need various output voltages from a single input supply in my ADC-DAC design. This can be done with different products and designs.

I kindly ask you to help me which products and designs to use in terms of price performance.
Input Voltage: It is Min.+12VDC and Max.+30VDC.
Output Voltages that i need;
V1: +3.3VDC @ 1,5A as Main system supply.
V2: +5.6VDC @500mA as Opamp and IC feed.(should not exceed 6V)
V3: -5.6VDC @500mA as Negative - Opamp feed.
I appriciated if you feedback with your valuable comments and suggestions.
Best Regards
Volkan

  • Hi Volkan,

    Do you require fixed switching freq at light load condition?

  • Hello Andy, greetings from Istanbul.  First of all Thank you for your response.

    Do you require fixed switching freq at light load condition?

    Yes you are right.
    Your valuable opinions and suggestions are important to me. I would like to share some of my scenarios that pass through my mind may be as follows..
    Assuming the Input Voltage is in the range of 12-24v,
    Scenario 1;
    First; + 24VDC > Adjustable stepdown converter Topology with right components > +5.6V DC at 1.2A at max. load condition
    Second; +5.6V DC > LDO > +3.3V DC 1.2A at max. load condition
    Third;  +5.6V DC > Inverting Buck-Boost Topology > -5.6V DC 0.5A at max load condition

    Scenario2;
    First; + 24VDC > Adjustable stepdown converter Topology with right components > +3.3V DC at 2A
    Second; +3.3V DC > Sepic Topology > +5.6V DC 0.5A and negative supply.
    But at this point negative supply will reduced abouth -4.9V due to Reserve diode.

    I am stuck at Inverting Buck-Boost, sepic and cuk converter topologies:((

    Could you please guide me with the right design with the right products at the simplest and most effective way ?
    Thank you very much.
    Volkan

  • Andy,

    Output voltages can be designed as +-5.5V with the same information as above.
