TLV62569: TLV62569PDRLR The output voltage exceeds specifications

Part Number: TLV62569

Tool/software:

After PCBA returned, it was found that the main IC was unstable, which was found to be caused by the power supply (3.3V).

  • Hello Lei,

thanks for reaching out in E2E and for preparing the nice report PDF.

From your photo of the measurement setup it seems that you connected the GND terminal of the multi meter to the power supply GND. Please be aware that there is a voltage drop between power supply GND and TLV62569 GND pin, depending on the overall device current consumption and the resistance of the cable and PCB trace.

I would suggest to repeat the measurement between FB and GND pin of the TLV62569, which is also the actual regulation parameter.

If the result is still not as expected, then I would suggest to check the 3.3V output voltage with an oscilloscope for stability. Here it is also important to connect the GND of the oscilloscope probe close to the GND pin of the TLV62569. If there is some oscillation or other instability visible then it would help to see the waveform of the SW pin signal and if possible the waveform of the output current at the 3.3V terminal in parallel to the output voltage waveform.

Which input voltage is applied to the TLV62569 in your application?

If you want then I can also review the schematic and layout of the TLV62569 section in your application.

    Best regards,

    Andreas.

  • Thank you for your reply. I will readjust the test here. Thanks a lot.

  • Hello Lei,
