Could you let us know the reason for generating INT signal by BQ25758 after when we load more than the configured value in IOUT_REG ?

Does that mean it is not possible to use BQ25758 for detecting OCP in Buck / Boost mode?

The INT pulse will trigger whenever a *_STAT bit changes. The CHARGE_STAT bit is changing to constant current mode here and this is triggering the INT pulse.

Hi Ethan,

When an OCP is detected we need to cut-off the Voltage and the system controller shall know the root cause for the Voltage cut-off

In our system, the Voltage is cut-off however, the reason for cut-off is not known when OCP occurs

Can a microcontroller read the CHARGE_STAT bits to determine if the charger entered into constant current mode or not? Will this work for determining the reason for the voltage cut-off?

My opinion is that it would be an assumption, could you confirm if there is any other reason that BQ could enter CC mode ?

I'm not sure of any other way the IC can enter into CC mode.

A lot of my coworkers are out of office at the moment. I can confirm this next week if that works for you.
