TLV62595: UVLO < Input voltage < Output Voltage: Pass-through?

Part Number: TLV62595
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62A06, TPS62A04B

Tool/software:

When the DC-DC Buck input voltage is greater than the UVLO threshold but less than the target output voltage, what happens?  Does the input voltage just pass through to the output, unregulated?  That would be the desired behavior for the design I'm working on.

  • Hi,

Yes, that's correct.  The IC would be in its 100% mode.  Also, EN must be high.

We also have the newer TPS62A06 and TPS62A04B, which are smaller and offer a lower voltage drop in 100% mode due to lower Rdson.

    Thanks,

    Chris
