Hi guys,
I am new to DC/DC supply design...
Basically I have an input rail that ranges between 7 & 20V (up to 10A). I need three regulated outputs 1V (6.8A; 6.8W), 1.5V(3A; 4.5W) and 0.75V(0.5A; .375W) for Vtt, DDR3.
One of the most important design criteria is footprint. Also, the efficiency of the system is very important.
I have look into several options:
- a buck converter each for 1.5V (3A) & 1.0V (6.8A). Use a Vtt LDO for the 0.75V (0.5A).
- a buck converter with dual output for the 1.5V (3A) & 1.0V (6.8A). Use a Vtt LDO for the 0.75V (0.5A).
- a buck converter for 1.0V (6.8A). another buck converter with Vtt output for the 1.5V (3A) and the 0.75 (0.5A).
I am down to selecting the right parts now. Could you guys give some insight into this?
Thanks,
Titus
