Hello,

We are designing 2 buck regulators with TLVM13640 and TPSM63604. We are using TPSM63604 for 12V output and TLVM13640 for 5.3V output. Can someone check below schematic and suggest if any changes are required?

All capacitors used are ceramic.

Also we are planning to use same PCB design for both modules. Any issues in doing that?

Hi Saero,

As for as the pinnout for the devices are concerned the only difference is that the TPSM63604 has some additional SYNC functionality on pin 14. Abs max voltages for both devices are the same. It should be ok to do this.

What stops TLVM13640 from working beyond 6V output?

Hi Sareo,

The TLVM13640 wasn't designed to support higher VOUT values. There's likely some instability in the control loop that happens if VOUT>6V which is why it only supports <6V operation.
