BQ25176J: Battery charger using USB Type C

The BQ25176J will support 1 cell (1S) Li-Ion or LiFePO4 (LFP).  For 2 Cell Li-Ion see BQ25171-Q1.  

3 Duracell (1.5V) would be NiMH, not supported by the BQ25176J.  But is supported by BQ25171-Q1 or BQ25172.

The BQ25171-Q1 will not have JEITA, only hot and cold.  The BQ25176J does have a JEITA, see figure 7-3.

Do you have a charging current vs temp profile?

we are working on BMS for 2 Li-ion connected in parallel.

If the 2 Li-Ion are in parallel the BQ25176J can support this configuration.

But the Maximum Charge Voltage of 4.0V will be a problem -- BQ25176J does not support this low a voltage only 4.05V.  

We have some chargers that used I2C to adjust the Vreg and could be set to 4.0V.

Couple of changes to schematic:

1.) ISET resistors 6k ohms each for 100mA / 50mA

2.) Output capacitor should be 1uF

Current should be 200mA and 100mA due to 2 Li-ION in parallel (100mA/50mA for 1 Li-ION)
