Hello,

I was testing the evaluation board with a custom designed board having other MCU it was working fine. But somewhere in the connection of the MCU board the wires touched each other and got shorted, the MCU is damaged as smoke was coming from it. From then onwards the evaluation board is not working, I tested it by connecting to Bqstudio it was not detecting tried pressing the Wake up pin, Not able to detect. Why is that ?

Hello OverAgent,

Seems that the MCU and/or IC of the bq40z80 has become damaged from the short.

Is there any other ways to resolve this issue ?
Can we replace it ourselves ?

You can replace the ICs on the board.

Hello,

Replaced it it was able to detect but the fuse is being triggered randomly and at few times when the FET is being enabled it would trigger the fuse and show around 3 - 4 V at the PACK side. Why is this happening ?
