BQ34Z100-G1: Error when choosing chem ID

Hi, when i try to program a selected chemistry in my gauge i have the erros:

Chemistry programming failed!

Error code = 1721.

And in the bottom left side of the screen it is written: Chemistry programming Error: Chemistry checksum

did not verify.

I tried to update chemistry and when i do it i have another error: The chemistry section of the Bqstudio software shows as empty, without any chem ID.

How can i solve this errors? I installed again Bqstudio and the chemistry ID's show now (the old ones). Thanks!

Hello Anon,

Please update the EV2400 to firmware version 0.32 and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks! I did it, i am using the 0.32 firmware in the ev2400. But yet, i can not get a valid chemical ID. I am having the same error again: Chemistry programming failed! Error code = 1721.

Hello Anon,

I know you are receiving this error code, but after programming the ChemID, can you send the "CHEM_ID" command and see if the returned data matches the chemID programmed. BQStudio might be throwing this error code on accident.

Hi, I can see the ChemID that I selected. I think it’s correct, right?

I have one last question: I have two lead-acid batteries, each 12V and 26Ah. When I go through the process of obtaining the ChemID and performing the learning cycle, should I do it with both batteries (connected in series, as I will use them in my application) or just with one battery? As mentioned, I plan to use two 12V, 26Ah batteries connected in series in my application.

Hello Anon,

Yes, if that command returns the right ChemID then it programmed successfully.

Yes, you will complete the learning cycle with both batteries connected in series.
