Hi,

We are using the BQ25176J as a battery charger.

Is it possible to obtain the battery's charging percentage status using the MCU? If so, could you please suggest which pin on the BQ25176J provides this information?

If this is not possible, could you recommend an alternative IC that offers this functionality?

Hi Gaurav

Sorry but cannot be done with the BQ25176J.

We have separate Gas Gauge IC but not battery charger with integrated Gas Gauge.

The BQ27z746 would probably be better, unless they need QFN package.

Pack pin would connect to battery charger side of the of BQ27Z746 S2/S1 switch.

S2 is the CHG FET and S1 is the DSG FET -- Your schematic is correct connection.
