TLV62585: The max output capacitor

Hi team,

This is FAE Jayden, My customer is using TLV62585 and they have the same question with the previous E2E thread.

The work condition is: VIN=5V, Vout=3.5V, Iout=0.95A， L=1uH, Cout=200uF

Can this device support 200uF output capacitor considering the inrush current and loop stability? Thanks.

Hi Jayden,

according my simulations the TLV62585 can not support the given conditions especially a Cout of 200uF due to the loop stability requirements.

Thanks for your reply, may I ask what's the max limit of the output capacitor based on the working condition? Thanks.

Hi Jayden,

I simulated a Cout max of about 100µF at nominal condition which is for sure not recommended to use in the application.
