BQ76905: OCD1 threshold program

Hi Expert,

The OCD1 in discharge is -4mV ~ -200mV in datasheet. The default is 68mV, so the max current is 68A. In my test, when the current is 10A, the OCD1 is triggered and the FET disable accordingly. You can see below waveform of current test. In fact, the load current will achieve 50A in a while.

How to program the OCD1 to higher threshold? Which is register should be configured in BQStudio GUI?
Whether the default OCD1 value is 68mV? or 10mV?

Hi Beida,

The default OCD1 threshold is 8mV by default:

The section you are referencing is a theoretical system design procedure and is not the default values of the device.

To change the threshold, adjust the register pictured above.

Today I test with BQ76907EVM and BQ76907 GUI. After write the OCD1 to 10 from 2, the read all register failed. The error is: Operation failed because initial read of all data flash failed.

But the registers refresh function is also correct!
