Hi Team，

In practical applications, customers recently discovered that three LM5060 circuits were damaged. Two of them had burn-through marks near pin 2, and one had burn-through marks near pins 8, 9, and 10. The circuit schematic is as follows, and the power supply input voltage It is 24V and the rated current is 100mA. Please help to check if there is a problem with the customer's principle design? Thanks.

Looks like TIMER is shorted to Gnd so, it disables the overcurrent protection. rest of the schematic looks fine.

Do you know the test condition under which devices are damaged ?

Is FET Q2 also damaged ?

It is currently damaged after the car left the factory, while driving, and no specific reason for failure has been found.
FET Q2 is not damaged.

Didn't find the cause of the damage, just added the reverse polarity resistor protection circuit, thanks.

Hi Ivy, Chen,

Please add 0.1uF from VIN to ground.

Also, note that Timer is ground in this design. This disables the overcurrent protection.
