we want to find a solution with 90% efficiency at both light and heavy load, so we believe that topology should have active-clamp forward to meet specification.

Hi,

For Vin = 20V to 57V, Vout = 57V/2.5A, 90% efficiency is ok to achieve at heavy load (>50% full load) from UCC2897A. But light load efficiency needs to be defined - what is "light load", 90% efficiency may not be achieved from a fixed frequency PWM controller.

ok, customer hope that the efficiency can reach 94% under heavy load of 50w~100W, any chance?

don't consider it if less than 50w, thanks.

Hi,

At full load of your design, it is likely to get close to 94% efficiency but at 50% load, it may not but should be ok to get > 90% efficiency.
