Tool/software:

During IQA process, we found that the MSL indicated on the label of TPS56428RHLR does not match the MSL stated in the datasheet. 

Could you confirm the correct MSL for this component and clarify if any changes have been made?

    Hi,

    I checked and found that the MSL level of this product has been updated this year. Previously, the level was level 2. Because the MSL level upgrade at the factory is an optimization and there is no change to the product itself, no PCN will be issued for this change, only the datasheet will be updated. The product you received is from August 2022. This product was produced before the MSL level was updated, so it is normal that it is shown as level 2. Thank you.

    Hi,

    The system I checked showed that the application for change was submitted at the end of 2022, but because it involves multiple products, there may be a delay for this product. Generally, the modification time of DS is used as the standard. However, it is not ruled out that some products will be MSL Level 1 before 2024, because the transition takes some time. But new products produced at the end of 24 must be MSL level 1. Thanks.
