TPSM82816: VIN and VOUT pin is too close with short circuit risk, is the dimension diagram correct?

my customer is working on the PCB design with TPS22992, they are concerning the distance between the VIN and VOUT pin is too close, so might lead to the risk of short-circuit:

according to the package dimension diagram, the chip length is 4mm, and middle value of the gap between the VIN and VOUT pins is only 0.2mm, considering the maximum tolerance, it may have risk of short-circuit.

Hi,

Yes, the drawing for TPSM82816SIE is correct. There is 0.2mm (8 mils) nominal between those pins. What spacing do you need?

We also have the other package, TPSM82816VCA, which is smaller and more efficient and having more space between pins. Can you use that one?

The VCA package shares the same D/S as the SIL one. It is on the web.

Let me check on that distance.

Hi Andrew,

How does the VCA package look? Is it ok for your customer?

The minimum spacing between those pins on the SIE package can be calculated as 0.165mm.
