I am working on a battery charger design with TPS25750D (plan to be replaced with 25751 later) with eeprom and BQ25792 (plan to be replaced with 25798 which is out of stock for now). I have a few questions.
1. If use TPS25750 for charging (sink) only, I don't need PP5V, right? Can I leave the pin floating?
2. How are the settings I made on TPS25750 application customization tool (and resulted binary configuration file) related to setting to BQ25792?
3. Can I use mcu and i2c to configure BQ25792 directly by setting its registers? In that case, how should I configure TPS25750? Is the i2c connection between TPS25750 master port and BQ25792 still needed?
4. If I don't use eeprom with TPS25750D, do I have to load configuration binary file from MCU through i2c? How I wish it can be done by setting some registers from mcu through i2c like BQ25792.
