Tool/software:

We have an input current ranging from 5A to 300A. At 5A, a minimum of 70mW of energy is harvested. The harvested energy is used to charge a supercapacitor and then to charge a battery. The power circuit diagram is attached. Could you review it?AGC_Power.pdf

Hello,

An input current of 5A is way too high for this part. Please confirm the input/output specifications before choosing the part.

Dear Mike,

Sorry, There is a harvesting transformer (Current Transformer) between system and board. 70mW energy is coming from transformer.

Hello,

My schematic review is as follows:

1. VBAT_OK_PROG = 3.41 V

2. VBAT_OV = 4.18 V.

3. VBAT_OK_HYST = 3.51 V. I suggest a wider hysteresis between VBAT_OK_PROG and VBAT_OK_HYST.

4. 80% VOC for MPPT.

Have you considered BQ25505 or BQ25504. We do not recommend not connecting VOUT on BQ25570.
