LM5185-Q1: Reference design for 240W output

Dear team,

My customer would like to design power supply with below specification.

- Input : 30V ~ 60V(Typ. 48V)

- output : 24V / 10A, isolated.

Using webench tool, I can get below data. Can I use below design for 240W output?

At TI.com main page of LM5185-Q1, we can see below. current limit is 5A. which one is correct? Do I have to design using 2xLM5185-Q1 for 24V/10A output? How can I design " Interleave" type?

Is there any reference schematic for interleave configuration? please let me know your opinion.

Nino,

Your output specs 24V/10A Pout=240W is too much power considering the limited input voltage VIN_min=30V (Iin_DC>8A, Iin_pk>>8A). What application is this? Are you sure VIN has those restricted values? I recommend reviewing reference design with ~240W using different Flyback Controller. TI Reference Designs Library

The application is Power Distribution Unit for 48V battery system.

Can I use interleave configuration using 2 or 3 x LM5185-Q1?

Hi Nino,

I got a reply back on this. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use 2x or more LM5185-Q1 to get such amount of power. I recommend checking reference design with your power level demands using a different Flyback controller.
