Hi.
I want to disable the psu and not generate the +12V1 output, is it ok to pull down APD pin?
I don't use the transformer output for sync version, is it better to terminate the pin with something?

Hi PB,

1. APD pin is for adapter priority configuration. Not common for disabling the PD's internal hotswap.

To disable the PD's internal hotswap, it is more common to pull the DEN pin to VSS. Check P13 of https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva306a/slva306a.pdf for more information.

2. For the transformer sync-FET drive pin, you can leave it open.

Hi Diang, but with this pin can I disable the internal IC features and voltage generation like GATE pin etc.?
I want to disable the IC to go into low power mode.

Hi PB,

Using DEN or APD may only turn off the internal hotswap and can not turn off GATE pin. You may use a MOSFET to tie the CTL to RTN to disable the GATE.

Besides, you could also consider TPS23752 which has sleep mode.
